Crystal Palace: Fans respond to Steve Parish’s comments on huge announcement

Many Crystal Palace fans have responded on Twitter to the club’s chairman talking about the new plans to upgrade the academy.
Steve Parish and the club recently announced plans to improve the level of the academy site to reach Category 1 status – therefore improving the facilities for young players.
The club announced new plans will include a major expansion of the facilities next to the club’s current training ground in Beckenham. Allegedly, the club currently relies ‘heavily’ on the nearby facilities to meet the demand for its young players, but this new development will see a huge enhancement to the junior facilities at the club.
The plans include further educational facilities, such as more classrooms, lecture rooms, better medical treatment, rehab space and a sports science facility. The playing facilities will also be improved, with the addition of a number of pitches, including a DESSO pitch with undersoil heating, and all-wether use pitches.
Many Palace fans responded to a video of Steve Parish discussing the new site and what it means for the club, with many saying it’s a great idea, but they just need to get it done.
Here are some of the replies below…
Plans look good, the delivery is what we need. Ron Noades has a vision and plans to redevelop the whole stadium. They we’re just plans and only delivered on the holmesdale. Let’s get this done and make a legacy, The youth are our future & will control costs. COYP
