Crystal Palace: Fans smitten after seeing adorable video from club’s Twitter account

Many Palace fans have been feeling emotional after the club posted a video of an interview with a young fan, Ethan.
Ethan was first made known to the Palace fans after pictures emerged from the club’s remarkable 3-2 win away at Manchester City last year just before Christmas. The star of the day Andros Townsend – after his thunderbolt of a volley which was subsequently nominated for the Puskas award – gave his match shirt to the youngster. Ethan was then snapped with a brimming smile and the photo later got shared by the club account, which went onto spread widely on the internet and Twitter.
10 months on from the game, and the Palace Twitter account had a catch up with Ethan, who spoke about his love for Townsend after he gave him his shirt and led him onto Selhurst Park as a mascot just four days later. The youngster also went onto talk about how his grandma takes him to every game and how his ambition in life is to be one of the best players in the world, and, of course, play for the famous red and blue (of Croydon, not Catalonia).
His enthusiasm for the game in the interview is infectious, and it certainly played on the heartstrings of many Palace fans, who replied to the lovely video with a series of positive messages for both the player and the young fan.

THIS is what football is about. This is what I felt like all those years ago. If football was more affordable more great kids like Ethan could experience this feeling. Make football for the real fans again!!!
