Crystal Palace will be continuing their fight for survival on Saturday when they take on Leicester City at Selhurst Park, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping they can carry their recent run of form on.
The Eagles have started to build some momentum at the right time of the season, having been undefeated in their last three games to give them a good chance of beating the drop from the Premier League.
The locals in the bar will not be getting carried away just yet but will realise that should they stay up, they would be able to attract some quality signings in the summer, with the Daily Mail linking them with one.
Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker is reportedly a target for Roy Hodgson should the Eagles manage to remain in the top-flight. The Belgium international is keen on a move to the Premier League and almost came close in January with London rivals West Ham United.
It is believed the Hammers decided to go for the 23-year-old after the Jupiler League outfit stated they wanted over £20million for the midfielder, however, it is thought Palace will continue to push for him if they do stay up.
The Palace fans in the Tavern will be excited with the prospect of signing a player of Dendoncker’s ability and will feel his addition could help in keeping the likes of Wilfried Zaha at Selhurst Park. Locals will be more concerned with safety overall but will feel fairly confident of their chances to remain in the league.
