Crystal Palace keen on taking Patrik Schick on loan in January

Crystal Palace will most likely head into the transfer window in January for a new striker as their goal concerns continue to build.

The Eagles have only managed to register eight goals in the Premier League, however, their current strikeforce are hardly impressing.

Both Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend have been found to be chipping in, whilst both Christian Benteke and Alexander Sorloth have struggled to make a real impact during their time at Selhurst Park.

And, it appears that Roy Hodgson could look to use winter transfer window as an opportunity to add a new striker, who himself has found it difficult this season.

According to Calciomercato, Patrik Schick has emerged as a potential loan target for Crystal Palace in January as he struggles to make an impression at AS Roma.

The forward was once heavily touted to go onto great things, however, he has hardly featured for Eusebio Di Francesco this season, after having a rather lacklustre debut year at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Verdict:

Crystal Palace certainly need to head into the January transfer window with a striker on their radar and Schick could be a great addition.

The 22-year-old showed real talent during his time at Sampdoria before moving to Roma and could benefit from leaving Italy and testing himself in the Premier League.

However, the Eagles will have a number of sides to compete against across Europe, with the Czech Republic international thought to have significant interest.
