Liverpool fans are looking unimpressed here in the Football Transfer Tavern at the latest claims from The Sun who feel that Ian Holloway and Crystal Palace could be set to launch a bid for long time transfer target Tom Ince.
Liverpool have long been fans of the Blackpool player and saw a January bid for the forward rejected and were thought to be preparing another bid this summer. Now it seems that the outspoken Holloway is considering bringing his former player to the Premier League next season.
The manager is prepared to bid in the region of £4 million for the talented England Under-21 international although we in the tavern do not feel this would be enough to prise Blackpool’s star asset away from Bloomfield Road.
Ince himself is well aware of the speculation that surrounds his future and even claimed that: “I am a Blackpool player. I have a year left and just concentrating on the Under-21s. I will sit down after the tournament and go from there.”
Liverpool are thought to be readying a bid for the player who they consider worth more than £4 million yet are not willing to pay the valuation Paul Ince and Blackpool currently feel the youngster is worth.
After seeing a move in January fall though, Ince is keen on getting to the top flight of English football finally and could well be keen on a link up with his old boss.
