With Yannick Bolasie’s move to Everton hanging by a thread, Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting news of some incomings, so this is for you!
Boss Alan Pardew is lining up a move for Augsburg defender Daniel Opare, according to reports in Ghana Soccernet.
Opare struggled to settle at Augsburg last season after moving to Germany from Porto, making just four appearances for the German side last season.
A pacy customer, Opare showed his best form during a four year stint at Belgian giants Standard Liege between 2010 and 2014 but he’ll be looking to rediscover his form at Palace if any move does materialise.
Also thought to be considering a move for the defender are newly promoted Middlesbrough, Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth and West Brom, with a couple of weeks still remaining in the summer transfer window.
Palace start their season against West Brom this Saturday and will hope to show Opare what they can do as they aim for an opening day win.
Palace fans, have you heard much about Opare in the best? Can he add another dimension to your team? Let us know below!
