Crystal Palace managed to secure all three points on Saturday as they squeezed past Leicester City in front of home support at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles will need to invest in the January transfer window if they are to make anything of the current campaign, having struggled to ensure consistency in recent times.
Interestingly, it appears as if the London club are eyeing a possible addition, as according to The Sunday People (16/12; page 55) (via HITC), Crystal Palace have made contact with Yaya Toure ahead of potential move.
Indeed, Crystal Palace have reached out to Yaya Toure and asked to be kept informed of developments on his future as they consider a potential move for the midfielder.
Sadly, the Ivorian failed to have any desired impact during his time at Greek side Olympiacos as his departure was announced earlier on this month.
Palace could do with bringing an experienced midfielder to sure things up in the middle of the park, but the 35-year-old’s performances were less than convincing over in Greece.
Yaya Toure could still do a job in the Premier League if he can prove his fitness as he did manage to impress at times during his final season at the Etihad.
But, after witnessing his recent performances at Olympiacos, Crystal Palace could do with weighing up other midfield options as the experienced Ivorian could be a gamble.
