Stoke City fans by the pool table have ordered another round in the Transfer Tavern after hearing the news broken to them by Sports journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter, that Miles Jedinak is nearing a move to Stoke City – for a reported fee of £5m.
The defensive midfielder who stands at 6ft 2 inches is subject of a deadline day bid from Stoke City and is seen as an ideal replacement for midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, who was sold to Sevilla for £7m earlier in the transfer window, and our Stoke fans here in the Tavern hope he can help to kick start their season after picking up only two points from their opening four games.
Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern seem disgruntled however and are not happy to be hearing that their club captain could be on the move – just one of a number of players set to be leaving Selhurst Park on deadline day this year.
With the arrival of Yohan Cabaye from PSG for £13m, Jedinak has seen his playing time this season restricted to just two substitute appearances. Jedinak was not even in the match day squad to play Chelsea at the weekend and looks to have been deemed surplus to requirements by Alan Pardew.
Stoke fans. Do you think Jedinak would be a succesful signing? Is he the man to replace N’Zonzi? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
