Crystal Palace are having another rollercoaster season but thus far, they haven’t reached the form expected of them.
Roy Hodgson did a terrific job in saving the side last season but now they’re struggling at the start of the campaign, for both forward creativity and defensive stability.
Especially now it’s confirmed that Christian Benteke will be ruled out until the new year, Palace will be starting to worry about just where the goals are set to come from. Relying on star Wilfried Zaha isn’t going to work so they need to delve into the transfer market, recruiting a striker who is guaranteed to hit the ground running.
What better way for them to do just that than recruiting a proven goalscorer like Stevan Jovetic.
Jovetic, (who is valued at £12.6 million on Transfermarkt) well known in the Premier League could be the man to re-enlighten the Eagles frontline alongside Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha.
The 28-year-old is currently at Monaco but with just three league appearances so far, he could find a move back to England more beneficial for his career.
Crystal Palace could offer him a platform to shine from and their attack could have a completely new dimension to it.
Benteke had lost his goalscoring touch as of late and now that he is injured, Palace have to make sure they bring in a suitable replacement.
He has scored goals no matter what club he’s played for and Stevan Jovetic could continue to offer his brilliant services in front of goal for Crystal Palace.
With the quality around him of other Eagles attackers, Jovetic and Crystal Palace could be a fine match.
