Crystal Palace plot £30M summer swoop – report

Crystal Palace will be looking to strengthen their side this summer and build upon their showing in this season’s campaign with fans in the Transfer Tavern expecting a number of additions to arrive.

The Eagles secured their place in the top-flight with a dominating 5-0 win against Leicester City at the weekend towards the end of a season where they were one of the early-favourites to be sent down to the Championship.

Roy Hodgson arrived at Selhurst after Frank de Boer was sacked just four matches into the new season, and the former England boss turned things around at the right time, whilst also managing to get the best out of Wilfried Zaha.

One of Hodgson’s previous employers, namely West Bromwich Albion, are destined to be relegated at the end of the campaign, and The Sun are claiming that he could be set to raid the Baggies for two of their main men.

The Eagles want to add firepower to their side and they have identified Jay Rodriguez as a possible option, whilst Craig Dawson is also being lined-up as a defensive target to try and help Palace add solidity to their performances.

According to the media outlet, the pair will not be cheap, with it being reported Palace will need to stump up around £30milllion for the duo.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Crystal Palace fans in the Tavern will be pleased their side have retained their Premier League status for next season and will be excited with the rumoured transfers, however, a number of the locals may be concerned by how much they will need to spend to bring the aforementioned pairing to Selhurst Park.
