These are set to be testing times down at Selhurst Park for Crystal Palace, with the search for a new manager still going on at the club.
Much to the surprise of the Eagles fans lining the bar here in the Tavern, Sam Allardyce quit his role at the helm of the club having guided the team to Premier League safety and the onus is now on the likes of Steve Parish to find a replacement that can keep the Eagles in the Premier League next season.
And as the race to find that man hots up, there’s more and more names that are being linked with a move to the club.
Parish would prefer to have a manager in-place to lead the entire pre-season and summer training that’s for sure and according to the Croydon Advertiser, reports in France are suggesting that Palace are set to face a battle with Ligue 1 outfit Nantes to secure the signing of Claudio Ranieri.
The former Leicester City boss, famed for leading the Foxes to the most unlikely Premier League win in history, is currently out of work having been shown the door by the Foxes earlier last campaign.
But with the Palace vacancy still open, there’s thought amongst the supporters here in the pub that a move for Claudio Ranieri would be excellent, especially considering his efforts with Leicester a couple of years ago.
Palace fans- would you like to see the club move for Claudio Ranieri? Leave your thoughts down below!
