This has come as a huge blow for the Crystal Palace fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
Crystal Palace have been seriously struggling in the Premier League this season, with Alan Pardew failing to get the best out of a side that were actually very impressive last season.
The Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern were surely thinking that their season could not get any worse, but unfortunately for them – it absolutely has.
As revealed by Alan Pardew, goalkeeper Steve Mandanda looks set to be out until January – after suffering an injury in training.
Pardew said: “Steve Mandanda’s going to have an operation on his knee this week. We think he’s out for six weeks. His knee locked up in training”.

This is a huge blow for the Eagles, as Mandanda has been one of the shining lights in an otherwise very dim Premier League campaign for Palace.
After signing in the summer, the 31-year-old has been a near constant for Pardew – and his performances have saved Palace’s blushes on a number of occasions.
Mandanda has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season.
Our landlord thinks that Alan Pardew needs to seriously prepare for life without the goalkeeper – or his job could be on the line.
