Crystal Palace have been working hard to bring in a couple of players this summer and could be about to make another addition to their squad.
Roy Hodgson wants to add quality and depth to his Palace side as they look to improve on last season’s Premier League campaign and will not want to be near the bottom again.
The Eagles have already added Vicente Guaita to the ranks as an improvement to their goalkeeping department, whilst other transfers have been hard to come by.
They are thought to be in talks with West Ham United about a possible £10million move for Cheikhou Kouyate and it appears they are also interested in adding another midfielder.
According to a report by Calciomercato, Crystal Palace have tabled an offer of more than 12million euros for AS Roma’s Maxime Gonalons. It is understood the Serie A outfit are prepared to offload the player as they look to rebuild their own squad.
The Frenchman would be a welcomed addition at Selhurst Park this summer as he would help to improve their midfield area.
With the departure of Yohan Cabaye, whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek has returned to Chelsea, there could be a gap for Gonalons to fit into and his experienced head would give them a solid defensive backing.
He would also benefit from getting regular minutes after he struggled to make an impact during his debut season with Roma and would be hungry to play as much as possible.
