Crystal Palace will be preparing for their League Cup clash with West Bromwich Albion as they look to go as far as possible in the competition.
Roy Hodgson’s side have had a mixed run of form recently, however, they have been on the end of some positive results recently.
The former England manager will be looking for his side to improve on their 0-0 draw with Newcastle United at the weekend and will be keen for his team to not slip up against the Baggies on Tuesday night.
The German, who arrived from Schalke in the summer transfer window, could be handed his first start for the club as all his appearances for the Eagles have so far been from the substitutes bench.
Jason Puncheon, Jairo Riedewald and Jeffrey Schlupp are others that could all feature for the Selhurst Park outfit, although there are doubts about Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international complained of a back injury during their draw with Newcastle and could be rested to ensure he is available for the match against Bournemouth next Monday when they return back to Premier League football.
Crystal Palace will want to go as far as possible in the competition and will feel they have a good chance of doing so.
The match against West Brom will not be easy but could be the perfect opportunity for Hodgson to give Meyer his first start and some of his fringe men a runout and the chance to shine.
Zaha will be a blow if he is not ready, however, his manager will likely have one eye on Monday’s encounter, so it would not be too surprising to see their star man miss out on Tuesday.
