Crystal Palace told Danny Ings price

Crystal Palace are looking to build on their summer signings with another impressive coup during the transfer window.

The Eagles have already added Vicente Guaita, Cheikhou Kouyate and Max Meyer to their side as they look to improve on last year’s Premier League campaign.

Roy Hodgson is keen to ensure that the Selhurst Park outfit have other players that they can rely on instead of solely hoping Wilfried Zaha is playing his best game and a striker is thought to now be a priority.

It is understood the former Liverpool manager is keen on Danny Ings, who has been made available for his previous employers, although reports are now suggesting that they may have to pay a large fee to land him.

According to a report in the Liverpool Echo, the Anfield side are prepared to let the forward leave, however, they are standing by their £20million valuation of the player, knowing that Palace and others are interested.

The Verdict:

Crystal Palace have quietly been impressing with their transfer business and Ings could be another solid addition for the Eagles.

The Selhurst Park outfit are in need of a striker, with just Christian Benteke and Alexander Sorloth at the club and both have failed to make an impact.

However, £20m could be seen as a figure too much to pay for the 26-year-old as he has struggled with injury concerns and fitness, however, Liverpool still believe he can still make it at the top of the game.
