Crystal Palace fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been celebrating unexpected summer signings with a pint or two more than most this summer, with Alan Pardew having pulled off a couple of major coups.
One punter reckons the remainder of the window is now all about hanging onto the star men already at the club, which would include Yannick Bolasie, a target for Tottenham according to the Mirror.
Spurs have finally offloaded flop striker Roberto Soldado, and are looking to add attacking reinforcements as a result, one of which could be the tricky Palace winger.
Alan Pardew has made it clear he does not want to sell Bolasie this month, but a bid in excess of £20million may well persuade Palace to strike a deal, with Eagles supremo Steve Parish keen to balance the books after a busy summer’s spending.
Parish is also willing to listen to offers for Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley, Barry Bannan and even former captain Mile Jedinak.
