Crystal Palace have impressed during pre-season as they continue to prepare for the challenges of next season, with a couple of signings going down a treat.
The Eagles could challenge for a place in the top half of the table next season if they manage to ensure consistency throughout. Interestingly, it looks as if Roy Hodgson is looking to improve his side, as according to The Mirror, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Danny Drinkwater on loan.
Danny Drinkwater is being primed for a move away from Chelsea.
The Blues have already secured the signature of Jorginho from Italian side Napoli this summer, so the 28-year-old midfielder has been pushed even further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
However, Crystal Palace aren’t the only team that would be interested in taking the central midfielder on loan if the Blues were to make him available, as Mark Hughes’ Southampton are also taking an interest.
Danny Drinkwater has impressed throughout his footballing career, winning the Premier League title during his time at the King Power Stadium, while earning a place in the England set-up and securing a move to Chelsea.
However, moving out on loan would be a great option for the Englishman in terms of his future as he’d be able to enjoy regular minutes in the Premier League. But for a team like Crystal Palace, he may be the impressive signing that can help take them to the next level to challenge for a European place.
