One individual who continues to struggle in front of goal is Christian Benteke, with the Belgium international still goalless in 2019/20, and a far cry from the player he once was. Indeed, not since his first season at Selhurst Park has the former Liverpool man hit double figures, with only four goals coming in the two-and-a-half campaigns since (as per TransferMarkt).
Amid his struggles, a headed goal scored by Benteke against Everton way back in 2016 has got fans talking. It was a trademark goal from the striker, leaping high to guide the ball into the far corner, and it was one of 17 occasions in which he found the target for the Eagles that season.
Indeed, several fans have spoken of a need to improve the service to the 29-year-old, with some of their reactions evidenced below.
We can, just give the bloke service

We don’t play to his strengths

Problem is, he rarely gets his type of service.

Amazing what a nice early cross can do.

A high cross from deep, his bread and butter. Sadly we only do low crosses from the byeline now.

Cross to his head rather than his feet and he’ll soon get his confidence back
