Our Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling about as optimistic as they have this season with their team finally looking like they can defend.
The Eagles have been on tenterhooks all season and were certainly fearing the worst under Alan Pardew.
Indeed, even when Sam Allardyce came in they were still struggling to perform and it’s only very recently that they finally look to have got their act together.
The men from Selhurst Park, then, will be looking to get safe and then build on things in the summer but it appears that Yohan Cabaye could jump ship.
Speaking to BeIN Sports and as quoted by The London Evening Standard, he hinted that a move to Marseille would not be completely out of the question.
The Frenchman said:
“I know [Marseille manager] Rudi Garcia well, Marseille have a good project. In life, everything is possible. I do not know what the future holds for me. I am open to all.”
Hardly a man committing to the Palace cause, then, and Sam Allardyce might see it as a sign that he should get rid of the French international.
