According to The Sun, Alan Pardew is set to leave Crystal Palace if he sees his team lose against Swansea City this weekend, with our resident Eagles fans here in the Transfer Tavern increasingly thinking it’s time for a change.
The Selhurst Park club have been on a poor run of form after being in the top half of the table earlier on this season with their loss against Manchester City their fifth on the bounce.
It’s something our Palace fans have become frustratingly accustomed to under Pardew with the south London side seemingly only ever to go on long runs of wins or losses with nothing in between.
And, with the slump in the second half of last season fresh in their minds, they’re beginning to think it’s time to change before it’s too late.
The report believes it could be Sam Allardyce or Chris Coleman as the potential new boss in the dugout with the former known for his ability to ward off relegation whilst the latter has seen his stock sky-rocket thanks to Wales’ EURO 2016 performance.
Palace are currently 16th in the Premier League table, a point above the bottom three ahead of their huge clash against Swansea this weekend.
