Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have reacted negatively after the club shared what was supposed to be a happy reflection of their season so far, as it was revealed this is the most points the Eagles have ever had at this point in a Premier League campaign.
Via @CPFC, Palace’s total of 33 points is the most points the club have ever had after 27 games of a Premier League season. Roy Hodgson’s side grabbed all three points last time out against Newcastle, lifting them above the 32 points they had at this juncture in the 2015/16 campaign.
However, fans have been left ‘underwhelmed’ by the statistic, as they feel the club should be in an even better position. Indeed, results on the pitch had dried up before the win over the Magpies, with just four points from the previous seven games, while off the pitch fans were understandably disappointed by the lack of January transfer activity.
