Several Crystal Palace fans are not interested in hearing about a potential Patrick van Aanholt exit this week.
According to Sky Sports, PSV Eindhoven have made a bid of just over £4m for the Netherlands international as they look to do some business before the transfer window closes. However, for some Palace supporters, that business will not be taking place at Selhurst Park — especially at £4.2m.
It is not hard to see why Van Aanholt is valued so highly in south London and why one fan labelled PSV’s offer as “disgraceful”. He has been a good servant to the club, making close to 100 appearances. And despite being a full-back, he has proven to be one of the Eagles’ biggest attacking threats.
This season, he has scored two goals in the Premier League and is currently averaging 0.9 key passes per game. To put that into perspective, that is only 0.1 behind Wilfried Zaha’s average (via WhoScored).
He is a key asset and, for that reason, fans do not want to see him leave. Take a look at what they have been saying below…

He’s an attacking threat which we miss and links up well with Wilf. Plus, he is one of those players that’s just seems to ‘get’ Palace. We haven’t won many since he’s been out either. Surely we wouldn’t sell him now of all times?
