Crystal Palace: Fans endorse Sam Woods’ loan move to Academical

Several Crystal Palace fans have been showing their support for centre-back Sam Woods following his loan move to Academical.
The 21-year-old has joined the Scottish side on loan until the end of the season, and many fans think it is a good move for him. He recently featured for the club in a 1-0 defeat to Derby County in the FA Cup, but regular game time at Selhurst Park was always going to be hard to find.
When fit, Roy Hodgson has the likes of Gary Cahill, James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho to call upon — some very experienced Premier League defenders. Taking that into account, a loan move was probably the best solution for Woods, who will now be hoping to make an impact in Brian Rice’s side.
And fans will be desperate for him to do just that, expecting big things from the Englishman, with one supporter dubbing him as the “south London Sergio Ramos”.
