A lot of Crystal Palace fans are remembering a past away day and enjoying talking about it as the Eagles came from two goals behind to beat Burnley 3-2 in the Premier League in 2015, per BBC Sport.
In the game, Palace conceded twice in the first 16 minutes which gave them a very daunting task. However, they rose to the challenge with goals from Dwight Gayle and Jason Puncheon levelling the scores. Fans had to wait until the 88th minute for Gayle to become the hero and produce the winning goal, making the match a great game for fans of the Eagles and one that is obviously still fondly remembered.
Gayle was signed by the South London side for £4.77 million, per Transfermarkt, in July 2013 and was also part of the Eagles’ famous comeback when they were 3-0 down to Liverpool and managed to score three second-half goals, two of which he netted, to finish the game 3-3, via BBC Sport.
The striker left the club in 2016, when he moved to Newcastle, per Transfermarkt, for £10.80 million.
