A lot of Crystal Palace fans can not stop sharing their love for Andros Townsend after his trolling tweet direct at rivals Brighton.
After both Townsend and Brighton striker Neal Maupay were knocked out in the first round of Leyton Orient’s FIFA 20 tournament #UltimateQuaranTeam, Brighton tweeted at the winger challenging him to a match on the game against Maupay.
However the winger sent the perfect reply in the view of most Palace fans and rejected the challenge saying: ‘Thanks but our fans were already given exactly what they wanted,” (@andros_townsend) and it was supported with footage of Jordan Ayew’s goal in the Eagles’ 1-0 victory against Albion on February 29th, via BBC Sport.
Fans were quick to express their admiration for Townsend after the tweet, with one calling him a ‘king’. Palace managed to remain undefeated this season against their rivals as they drew the reverse fixture 1-1, via BBC Sport.
Fellow Palace ace Wilfried Zaha also enjoyed the tweet from his teammate replying with ‘That was a sweet one I must say‘.
For now, the South London side have bragging rights over their M23 rivals, who haven’t won a fixture this calendar year, via Premier League.
