Loads of Crystal Palace fans are not keen on Adil Rami joining the club in this transfer window.
According to The Athletic, the south London outfit are considering making an offer for the Fenerbahce defender, though Championship side Derby County are said to be leading the race for his signature. However, going off Twitter, some Palace supporters will not be too disappointed if Rami does end up at Pride Park instead of Selhurst Park, which is understandable.
Central defence is hardly a weakness in Roy Hodgson’s squad right now. The Eagles boss added Gary Cahill to the ranks last summer, for example, and he has excelled this season.
The former Chelsea defender leads the squad when it comes to blocks with 1.1 per game (via WhoScored). That is also higher than Rami’s average of 0.6 with Marseille from the 2017/18 Ligue 1 season, the last campaign where the World Cup winner featured regularly. Ultimately, taking Cahill’s presence in the squad and the other centre-backs at Hodgson’s disposal into account, perhaps Rami should not be a priority in this last week of the transfer window.
You can have a look at fans have had to say below…

34 years old and would be our 5th choice CB behind Tonks, Cahill, Kelly and Mama
