Many Crystal Palace fans have reacted warmly on Twitter to the club's announcement that Eberechi Eze has won the Eagles' goal of the season prize for his outstanding solo effort against Sheffield United in January.

Enjoying an outstanding first season in south London, the 23-year-old notched 10 goal contributions in 36 outings for the Selhurst Park outfit, with four goals and six assists [Transfermarkt].

Eze has impressed fans and pundits alike up and down the country due to his hard work, flair and trickery.

In keeping with these principles, his goal against the Blades illustrated all of these qualities. Embarking on a 60-yard jinking run unchallenged, he then proceeded to curl a wonderful 20-yard effort into the bottom corner. [YouTube]
