January could prove be a pivotal month in Crystal Palace’s season as they aim to retain their place in the top half of the Premier League table.
Indeed, a solid start to the season leaves the Eagles ninth, one place above Arsenal and just a point off Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur. As it stands, it’s perhaps unlikely to imagine Palace making a challenge on the top six but, having signed Cenk Tosun to try and provide some of the goals they’ve been lacking from a central striker, things may be looking up.
That’s because, right now, Palace boasting one of the worst attacking records in the division. In fact, along with Watford and Bournemouth, their 20 goals is the fewest in the Premier League. With that in mind, it’s impressive that they’ve managed to maintain such a high league position with an attack that has been largely toothless this season.
However, they have let one player leave the club, as well. Midfielder Victor Camarasa’s loan deal was cut short after making just one Premier League appearance for the Eagles. Having impressed at Cardiff last year, he endured an absolutely disastrous time at Palace, failing to play more than five minutes in the Premier League this season.
Our loan agreement for Victor Camarasa with Real Betis has ended, and he has returned to Spain. We wish him all the very best for the future. #CPFC

After the club confirmed on Twitter that the deal was terminated, many fans are pleased to have put the loan deal behind them, here’s how some of them reacted to the Spaniard’s departure:

I saw him play for the U23s a few months ago and was amazed how unadventurous and limited his play was. Can’t blame Roy for not using him more.

I had high hopes, he must of been lazy!
