Crystal Palace: Fans reminisce following Dominic Fifield tweet

Journalist for the Athletic Dominic Fifield has posted a tweet promoting an article he has written on Crystal Palace, but the context of this article has not gone down greatly with a lot of the fan base.
Fifield has written about the three FA Cup final runs that the club have enjoyed as they to try and lift their first ever major trophy in the club’s history. Sadly for the South London side, their fight for silverware in these finals all ended in heartbreak and Palace fans have been quick to remind the journalist about this with one saying, ‘Too soon…’.
All three fixtures have come against Manchester United with two of the games both being in 1990 as the Eagles managed to take the Red Devils to a replay after a dramatic comeback which left the scores at 3-3 at the final whistle, via rednbluearmy.
However United would come out on top and win 1-0, via The Guardian, and win the 1990 FA Cup. 26 years later the sides would meet again in the final, and the game would go to extra-time, where Jesse Lingard ended up being the one to ruin Palace’s fairytale this time, via BBC Sport.
Here is what fans had to say following the tweet:
Three Cup finals, three goal scorers, three near misses… and plenty of sub plots
