Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have responded on Twitter to a club tweet about their star player Wilfried Zaha.
The official account tweeted saying that the Ivorian winger has recorded 58 dribbles this season – 16 more than his closest competitor.
Given his lack of goals thus far, it could be suggested that he’s underperformed, though this stat suggests that he might not be when looking at the underlying numbers. He has played every game for them this campaign and has the highest average rating for any player who has played more than two games with 7.01/10 (WhoScored), scoring once and assisting as many.
Now the former academy player is 27, he may feel like it is now or never for him to get a move to a big club given that he handed in a transfer request in the summer just gone, so the rest of the season is huge for the player if he wants to make it at the very top level.
There was a mixed response from Palace fans, with one laughing that Arsenal chose Nicolas Pepe over him, while another even suggested that those doubting his ability this season were actually correct.
Here are some of the replies below…
The Wilf haters are sadly right when they say he's been underperforming this season. Normally it would be 75+ more by now not just 16

And Arsenal paid £70m + for Pepe

Play like we did against Liverpool and more goals and assists will be coming!
