Our Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling optimistic that they will stay in the Premier League this season under Sam Allardyce.
The Eagles have had a tough time of it this year with them looking pretty doomed under Alan Pardew and Big Sam until only recently.
They finally look like they’ve got the hang of how Allardyce wants them to set-up now, though, and when that has happened before results have taken an upturn.
Indeed, Allardyce will surely already be thinking about what he wants his side to do in the summer and whilst bringing players in will be key, making sure others stay put will also be of importance.
That in mind, then, Steve Mandanda’s most recent comments on his Facebook page should be welcomed with him moving to quash any rumours of him leaving just yet.
Posted in French, the stopper says he is focusing on Palace at the moment and so, whilst nothing is particularly conclusive, you cannot deny that suggestions he isn’t interested are wrong.
The experienced stopper is working his way back from injury and could be in the side soon.
