Crystal Palace handed welcome boost as De Boer prepares for Premier League campaign

The Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern have been handed quite the boost this summer, to say the least.

Indeed, after a fairly miserable campaign last term, the Eagles propping up our bar have been excited by the arrival of Frank De Boer as the club’s new manager, as well as some promising summer signings.

Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah have both arrived on loan, as well as promising former Ajax defender Jaïro Riedewald to further strengthen the backline. Now, thanks to a tweet, our south London locals have received another defensive boost.

Pape Soare looks like closing in on a return to training after a crash in September 2016 ruled him out of the whole of last season. The 27-year-old broke his leg and jaw before being airlifted to hospital, admitting he could have been forced to retire as a result of his injuries.

However, taking to his social media platform, he thanked fans for all their support and posted some training clips to excite our Palace-mad punters.
