Crystal Palace have all but secured their place in the Premier League, and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be wanting to add to their squad to help them improve upon this season’s exploits.
The Eagles retained their top-flight status with an impressive 5-0 victory against Leicester City on Saturday, and manager Roy Hodgson will now be in a position to plan his transfer targets ahead of a top ten push next time round.
And, according to The Sun, Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks is appealing to those at Selhurst Park, and is thought to be available on a free transfer as he has so far refused to sign a new deal with the Championship promotion contenders.
Palace will find themselves up against a lot of competition for the 25-year-old full-back though, with Arsenal and West Ham United amongst the clubs reportedly interested in signing him.
Hodgson is preparing to try and combat the departure of Joel Ward with the potential arrival of the highly-rated defender, with Ward set to leave on a free transfer himself after rejecting a new deal, while the Eagles chief will also be hoping he does not lose any of his key men this summer, such as Wilfried Zaha.
Landlord’s Verdict: The Palace fans in the Tavern will be pleased that they will still be in the Premier League next season, and will be excited with the prospect of Fredericks joining them given his impressive efforts for Fulham over the last few years.
However, their primary concerns will be keeping Zaha at Selhurst Park.
