Our Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern are far from happy with the club at the moment and, as per The Reading Chronicle, it appears some of their players aren’t either.
The Eagles had been expected to go fairly well this season but they’ve gone anything but with them firmly in the relegation picture this season.
Sam Allardyce’s magic formula for keeping sides up has yet to kick in at Selhurst Park this season and now it appears at least one of their players would rather stay away from the club.
Jordon Mutch is currently out on loan at Championship club Reading after seeing playing time very limited in south London this season for Palace.
He seems to be enjoying himself far more now, though, with him scoring on his debut for the club and performing pretty decently.
And it appears he’d like to make his stay with the club permanent with him saying:
“I would definitely like to remain here beyond the end of the season, of course we will take it as it goes for now and see where we are at at the end of the season.”
Reading are currently well in with a chance of getting promotion to the Premier League this season with play-off qualification certainly a minimum expectation.
It could turn out, then, that this is an inspired move from Mutch – particularly if Palace go down.
