Crystal Palace ready to battle West Ham for £9m-rated playmaker

Not exactly delighted about life under Sam Allardyce just yet, the Crystal Palace fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful the January market can bring sweeter times to Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have their heads above water as things stand in the Premier League, though there’s little doubt our south London locals are slightly nervous despite the arrival of Big Sam.

So reports from the Guardian have proved somewhat exciting.

They claim Palace are ready to battle West Ham United over Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass this month, despite the fact the Scotsman recently penned a new deal with the Tigers.

The Hammers are understood to have had a £3m bid for the 29-year-old snubbed over the past few days and the Humberside outfit are believed to value the ex-Norwich City man at around £9m.

Despite the wider struggles of the team at the KCOM Stadium, Snodgrass has proved impressive for the Premier League’s bottom side.

He’s notched seven goals this season in one of the league’s worst sides, as well as recording another two assists and our Palace supporting punters are hopeful a deal can be done.

Would Hull be stupid to sell Snodgrass? Let us know below…
