Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting more and more confident that their team can escape the dreaded relegation zone, with easier games on the horizon. It’s been a really tough season for the Eagles but all their fans hope for is that their team stay in the top flight.
Considering Palace started the season with seven losses out of seven, Roy Hodgson and his team have done a tremendous job in trying to steer them away from relegation. With that plan hopeful of coming true, Crystal Palace must immediately turn their attention to the transfer market for some new players in the hope they can make the difference so this situation doesn’t happen again.
The goalkeeping position has been filled with uncertainty for years at Crystal Palace but now more than ever. Julian Speroni will some be retiring and Wayne Hennessey not really up to scratch, we think that Palace could do a lot worse than to sign Joe Hart, a ‘keeper who is valued at £10.80 million on Transfermarkt.
Many will be quick to point out that he’s had a disastrous season on-loan with West Ham but before some jump to conclusions, they have to realise that the Hammers’ defence haven’t been helpful for Hart and it’s been a hard task at times. With little other goalkeepers available, Hart could surprise a lot of fans by coming good again at Selhurst Park.
After all, Joe Hart has been England’s No.1 for years and he was once regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. A move to Palace could work out well for both parties, Hart will be guaranteed game-time and the Eagles could have their hands on a top goalkeeper.
