Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha took to Twitter to take the mick out of a tackle he received during his side’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal – and Palace fans absolutely loved it.
The Eagles came from two goals down at the Emirates to salvage a point in their Premier League tie. Zaha was influential in the game, winning the penalty to start the comeback. The winger was brought down by Calum Chambers and was initially given a yellow card for diving, but thankfully for Palace VAR came to the rescue and Zaha’s booking was rescinded and Luka Milivojevic made no mistake from the spot as per usual.
James McArthur then set up the second with a fantastic cross which was met by the head of Jordan Ayew.
With the game in added time, a late break from a corner was made as Zaha knocked the ball past Matteo Guendouzi. With the Frenchman keen to not let Zaha into the gaping space in behind him, he managed to bring the forward down by the only way he could – a rugby tackle.
Zaha tweeted after the game saying “NFL’s at Wembley” with a picture of Guendouzi mid-tackle.
