Crystal Palace had a successful January transfer window that leaves them in a good position to push away from the relegation zone and eye a place in the top ten.
Selhurst Park is now a much happier place and Crystal Palace can feel confident in moving forward as a team, having made the signings they need to do so.
Roy Hodgson has successfully built a team that is improving game-by-game and with a continuation of good business in the next few transfer windows, the Eagles can kick on.
Already, they have a talented group of players but every team has the potential to improve, as could Crystal Palace with a few more signings.
Although the recently acquired Michy Batshuayi on a loan-deal, Palace have few reliable options other than the “Batman” himself.
Therefore, it would be very sensible for Palace to sign another forward in the summer and someone like Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Calvert-Lewin, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) is a forward who has failed to make an impact at Everton again this season.
Despite making 23 appearances in the Premier League, just eight of those games have been starts for him as surely now, the 21-year-old will be considering his options next season.
He is a talented player for sure and on the international stage – with England’s U21 side – he more often than not has provided the goals.
With players like Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha around him, pace could be the main feature of the Eagles attack and that would work very well indeed.
By giving him the freedom to play, Crystal Palace could themselves a top striker that would improve with every game he plays.
Do you agree Palace should look to sign Calvert-Lewin … Let us know!
