Exciting approach for PL star made as De Boer continues Crystal Palace revolution

Frank De Boer’s arrival at Crystal Palace earlier this summer has excited the supporters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, to say the very least.

After a pretty miserable campaign last term, the Eagles who frequent our venue in their droves are hoping the stylish Dutchman can impose a new footballing philosophy in south London at long last. Indeed, reports from the Sun even suggest the former Ajax coach could be targeting an accomplished ballplayer to get his revolution underway.

They claim the club are plotting another loan swoop on Arsenal for Jack Wilshere this summer. Palace are thought to have been keen on the England international last year, before Bournemouth moved in on deadline day.

There is still believed to be a willingness from Palace to bring him south of the River Thames on loan this summer, though could apparently depend on whether he pens a new deal at the Emirates.

“Crystal Palace have made an approach and want Jack for the season”, a source reportedly told the publication.

“Jack is out of contract at the end of next season and Arsenal are offering him a new one.”

“They will only loan him out if he signs a new contract — otherwise they want to either sell him or keep him at the Emirates.”

While the 25-year-old has endured a miserable couple of seasons of late, though the Eagles crowded around our bar would love to see him at Selhurst Park.
