Crystal Palace may not have got up to much in the January transfer window, with Cenk Tosun the only addition to the senior squad, but the club has not ended its bid to improve the playing personnel.
The Eagles have announced the signing of young player Jay Rich-Baghuelou, who will join the academy team after impressing on trial, and will now work with Shaun Derry.
The defender previously played for Welling United, for whom he has made 56 appearances even though he is only 20-years-old. Despite his potential, several supporters are still unhappy with the addition.
Is Wilfried Zaha destined to leave this summer?
Many still haven’t forgiven the board for a lack of recruitment in January, when the senior squad could have been bolstered with arrivals like Nathan Ferguson and Eberechi Eze, two deals which failed late on. However, there have been some more spirited responses from other fans, who are hopeful that the youngster will deliver and have faith that he possesses enough talent currently to be considered a sensible addition.
Here are some of the reactions to the club’s announcement of the arrival.

Sounds very positive. It would be great if more Academy players could make it through to the 1st team squad. Great for them, the club and the supporters + could save a shed load of money! https://t.co/PJI68zQsQN

So Palace fans, are you happy with this addition, or are you still concerned that the board didn’t act significantly in the January transfer window?
