Key figure set for crunch talks with Crystal Palace, exit possible

Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are convinced their club is on the rise following their push away from relegation this season but a major piece of news risks shattering their plans.

The Daily Mail reports Sam Allardyce is set to hold crunch talks with the Eagles’ hierarchy before committing his future to the South London side, as he’s said to be unimpressed by the club’s transfer strategy this summer.

Allardyce’s role at Palace has been crucial for all parties involved, as he’s steered the Eagles to safety and it’s given him the ability to bounce-back from his short tenure as England boss last summer, where he was forced to leave following newspaper allegations.

The pair therefore seem to be a match made in heaven and our landlord is urging Palace to do whatever it takes to keep 62-year-old Allardyce at the club, as he feels they’ll have an impossible task on their hands if they have to replace him this summer.

Allardyce is set to meet with club chairman Steve Parish in the next 48 hours, where a meeting will decide his future at Selhurst Park.

Would Palace be making a major mistake if they were to lose Allardyce? Let us know in the comments below!
