Crystal Palace ended their losing streak in the Premier League against Arsenal thanks to two penalties.

Luka Milivojevic opened the scoring from the spot-kick before goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Unai Emery’s side the lead. Palace looked set for another defeat before another late penalty from Milivojevic ensured Roy Hodgson’s side left with a point. The result leaves the Eagles three points clear of Fulham in the Premier League relegation zone.

If Palace are to turn their season around, they need to sign a new goalscorer in the January transfer window. Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham have both struggled for goals and fitness in recent seasons, and the Eagles can’t solely rely on Wilfried Zaha to fire them away from danger. A new forward should be top of the former England manager’s wishlist in January.

One man who could solve their problems is Amiens forward – Moussa Konate. Valued at £8.1m by Transfermarkt, the striker enjoyed a terrific debut season in Ligue 1 after joining the club from Sion last summer. Konate netted 13 league goals and registered one assist during his first campaign in France.

The 25-year-old’s excellent form in front of goal has continued with Konate already finding the back of the net three times in the league. The Senegal international would be a massive upgrade on Benteke and give Hodgson the firepower to improve their fortunes in the New Year. The forward is only getting better and could thrive in the Premier League.

If his impressive performances continue, interest in his services will increase. Therefore, Palace need to move quickly to secure his signature.
