The Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to feel pretty distraught at the way their season is going this year and, according to The Mirror, the owners seem to be getting that way too.
That’s because according to the report they are weighing up the possibility of Sam Allardyce coming in to the club to replace Alan Pardew with the Eagles very precariously placed in the division.
The south London side are just a point clear of the bottom three in 17th place and look completely out of confidence and luck at the moment under Pardew.
They’ve been on a woeful run under their manager for the whole of 2016, too, and now it appears his time could be nearly up with the club he once played for.
The former England boss, Allardyce, was sacked after one game in charge for the national team, famously, but has a good record of keeping teams in the top flight and that is what the Palace owners will be looking at most.
Our landlord thinks Pardew’s time is pretty much up and thinks the appointment of Allardyce should see them safe this season – should it happen.
Would you take Allardyce, Palace fans? Let us know below!
