Palace eye PL defender in bid to boost survival hopes

According to The Guardian, Crystal Palace are weighing up a loan move for Tottenham left back Ben Davies with our resident Eagles here in the Transfer Tavern liking the sound of that.

The Welsh international has been in the Premier League for some time now due to his time with both Spurs and Swansea prior to that and our Palace punters think that experience could be crucial in their relegation fight this season.

It’s been a tough year so far for the men from Selhurst Park with them going on a six game losing streak earlier this season and so they ideally need reinforcements to help avoid that kind of run again.

It appears, then, that Davies is seen as the perfect man to help such a cause with him currently sat on the Spurs bench twiddling his thumbs.

He’s very much a second string player behind Danny Rose at White Hart Lane and our landlord believes a loan deal for him could be perfect as he is a solid defender that just needs minutes under his belt to prove himself.
