Crystal Palace have had a positive start to their campaign and certainly a lot better than last season, where they were winless for seven games.

Having endured great form at the back end of last season, Roy Hodgson masterminded a survival plan that came to fruition and now they look comfortable as an established Premier League team.

Their attacking flair has really increased over the time Hodgson has been in charge and with Townsend and Wilfried Zaha constantly flying up and down the wing, creating chances and scoring goals, it's about time Palace invested in a striker who properly fits their system.

Christian Benteke has not reached top form in a few seasons now and with pace the main feature of the Eagles attack, why not view Danny Welbeck as an option in January?

Welbeck, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) is finding game-time harder to come by than ever thanks to the new-found lethal partnership between Aubameyang and Lacazette. The Englishman has managed just 31 minutes in the Premier League this season and for an England international, he has to be playing more than that to stay with the Three Lions.

Staying in the Premier League and staying in London, Crystal Palace really could be the ideal home for the 27-year-old as he looks to show why his place in the England set-up is deserved.

Welbeck is a tireless worker that may not always find himself on the score-sheet but one thing for sure is that he will always give 110%. With Zaha and Townsend supplying him, Welbeck really could find his goal-scoring touch and eclipse the form of both Benteke and Jordan Ayew.
