Palace looking to bolster attacking options

Crystal Palace fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have been a bit taken a back by their clubs activities this summer, with manager Alan Pardew already having tabled some big money bids.

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in a loan deal for Senegalese forward Moussa Sow, according to French newspaper L’Equipe (via Sports Witness).

The 30-year-old, who has previously played for Fenerbahce and Lille, signed for current club Al Ahli last summer for a fee of €16m. However, reports are yet to suggest whether the Dubai based club would be willing to loan the player out.

The Senegalese international has scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for Al Ahli and has 3 years remaining on his contract.

Reports suggested that the forward is keen to test himself in the Premier League before the end of his career, after offers in the past never fully materialised.

The Eagles are eager to bring in some reinforcements upfront having parted company with Emanuel Adebayor and Dwight Gayle, on top of having seen bids for both Michy Batshuyai and Cristian Benteke rejected.

If Sow was to make the move, he would be following Steve Mandanda, James Tomkins, and Andros Townsend to Selhurst Park.

What do you think Palace fans?! Would Moussa Sow make a good signing? Or will he just be filling a place on the team sheet? Let us know in the comments below…
