Crystal Palace will be hoping that they can perform a lot better during the second half of the season.
Roy Hodgson will be desperate to see more from his team in terms of consistency with results very mixed over the Christmas period.
The Eagles have a decent squad of players and they wouldn’t be wrong for wanting more from them.
Recruiting is something that should definitely be improved though as simply, they didn’t spend enough or bring in the right players over the summer to make themselves a team capable of finishing in the top ten.
In a bid to put a stop to that, Crystal Palace should look into signing Zenit’s Sebastian Driussi.
The Argentinian striker, (who is valued at £12.1 million on Transfermarkt) has been in good form once again this season, providing the Russian side with a constant goal-threat.
Crystal Palace could only dream of a player having such an impact up-front, with Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Connor Wickham scoring two goals between them as injuries have cursed their front-line.
No such issues have been apparent for Sebastian Driussi, the forward has scored six times and assisted on ten occasions, proving he isn’t just a self-centred finisher but is keen to involve his team-mates as well.
At the age of 22, Driussi could give Crystal Palace a great option for a number of years into the future.
All the Eagles have to do is invest and they will have themselves a top forward that will make them more threatening in attack.
Driussi is capable of playing anywhere across the front-line, giving Crystal Palace more strength in a number of positions and that could be very helpful to help kick-start their campaign.
