Crystal Palace have picked up some form as of late and may feel confident in continuing that and striving to reach the top ten.
It would be a big ask for Roy Hodgson and his players but the Premier League has seen far crazier things.
They have a good group of players Crystal Palace, meaning that if they strengthen wisely in the summer as well, they can really enjoy a better season next year.
Teams can’t always sign attacking players, they need defenders too, and the Eagles could really look to bolster their back-line in the summer, with more options leading to further choice for the manager.
A player that could do wonders with a move to Selhurst Park is Man City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala, a man who has been stripped of first-team action this season.
Mangala, (who is valued at £9 million on Transfermarkt) is out-of-contract with Manchester City in the summer, which more than likely than not will see him move away from the Etihad.
Although his time in England hasn’t been as successful as anyone would have hoped, he could start a new chapter with Crystal Palace and vastly improve their centre-back options.
James Tomkins, Scott Dann and Martin Kelly have all suffered with injury at some point during this season, so the need for another man like Eliaquim Mangala is obvious.
Having not played for Manchester City’s first-team this season, the former French international really needs to move away in order to revive his career.
At 28-years-old, he still has time to be an important player for a club like Crystal Palace and by signing him, Roy Hodgson could be more hopeful of a better finish next season.
