With the Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern excited about life under Frank de Boer, many of them have been discussing what kind of players the stylish Dutchman will be able to attract this summer.
Both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jairo Riedewald are already on board, though the latest rumour to enter our resident Eagles’ minds actually has to do with a potentially surprising exit. Indeed, according to the Sun, Scott Dann is apparently a shock target for Chinese Super League side, Beijing Guoan.
The 30-year-old missed the end of last season with an injury, though there is reportedly every chance he will make a move over to the Far East.
Over the past few seasons, the CSL has seen a huge increase in stature after spending big to bring the likes of Carlos Tevez, Hulk and Oscar over to the continent and the former Birmingham City defender may be in line to follow suit.
While he’s a popular figure amongst our drinkers, many of them wouldn’t begrudge Dann a move, as long as he’s adequately replaced by De Boer ahead of the new campaign.
