There is a murmur of excitement at the Transfer Tavern from the Crystal Palace fans and Frank de Boer looks set for his first season in charge.
When Alan Pardew returned to Crystal Palace, a club where he spent four years as a player, the stars seemed to align for him to take Palace to the next level.
Unfortunately, the most memorable moment Alan Pardew had during his time as Crystal Palace manager, was doing a little dance when his side scored in the FA Cup final, only for Manchester United to go on and win it anyway.
A less than stellar time in South London, Pardew also had his fair share of questionable transfer dealings during his time as Palace boss, some of which are still on the books at Palace and should probably be sorted out by new manager Frank de Boer.
